Beacons and Linktree both give you a free link in bio page, but they're aimed at different people. Linktree is a simple link page with paid add-ons. Beacons is closer to a toolkit for running a creator business, with a store, email marketing, a media kit and AI tools built in. We run a third, lighter option, SocProfile, so we've included it in the comparison and tried to be fair about where it falls short.
The quick version
If you want a clean, easy link page with solid analytics and email and ad pixel integrations once you pay, go with Linktree. If you sell digital products or work with brands and want a store, a newsletter and a media kit under one login, Beacons makes more sense, especially if you're ready to pay for a plan with 0% fees.
And if what you need is a free page for your links, your Telegram channel and your socials, with no monthly subscription and no built-in selling, a lighter tool like ours will do the job.
What the plans cost in 2026
Each service has a free-forever plan and three paid tiers. We took the prices below from the official pricing pages, beacons.ai/i/pricing and linktr.ee/s/pricing, in September 2026. All prices are in US dollars.
| Level | Linktree | Beacons |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Free: $0 | Free: $0 |
| Entry paid plan | Starter: $8/mo, or $6/mo billed yearly | Creator: $10/mo, or $8.33/mo billed yearly ($100/yr) |
| Mid plan | Pro: $15/mo, or $12/mo billed yearly | Creator Plus: $30/mo, or $25/mo billed yearly ($300/yr) |
| Top plan | Premium: $35/mo, or $30/mo billed yearly | Creator Max: $90/mo, or $75/mo billed yearly ($900/yr) |

The tiers don't match up neatly. Linktree Pro ($15) is mostly about design, analytics and marketing integrations. On Beacons, the plan that removes branding and seller fees is Creator Plus, at $30. If you compare by purpose, the fair pair is Linktree Premium ($35) and Beacons Creator Plus ($30), since those are the 0% fee plans for people who sell. We cover Linktree's tiers in more detail in Is Linktree free?
How much each one takes from your sales
Selling ebooks, presets, templates or courses from your bio? Then the fees will probably cost you more than the subscription.
| Plan | Linktree fee | Beacons fee |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 12% | 9% |
| Entry paid | 9% (Starter) | 9% (Creator) |
| Mid | 9% (Pro) | 0% (Creator Plus) |
| Top | 0% (Premium) | 0% (Creator Max) |
Linktree charges its fee on digital products and courses, and Stripe's processing fee (2.9% + $0.30 per purchase) comes on top of that on every plan. Beacons lists the same 9% and 0% split for store sales and affiliate link commissions. Payment processing costs may apply there too, so read the checkout details before you launch anything.

"Not listed" means we didn't find the feature on the official pricing page at the time of writing. It doesn't necessarily mean you can't get it through an integration.
Linktree's strengths and weak spots
Linktree's biggest advantage is how simple it is. The editor is all about the link page, so you can set one up in minutes. Many visitors already recognize a linktr.ee link, which doesn't hurt either. The paid plans are where the analytics get good: Pro shows a year of data with traffic sources, locations and devices, and Premium keeps everything for the life of the page, with CSV export. Pro and Premium also support the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, UTM parameters and syncing with email tools.
The downsides mostly hit free users. The seller fee on Free is 12%, compared with 9% on Beacons Free. The Linktree footer only goes away on Pro ($15/mo) or Premium. Free analytics cover just 28 days. Linktree is also testing ads on some free pages, shown after a visitor taps a link.
Where Beacons wins, and where it doesn't
Beacons puts a whole creator business in one account: store, courses, memberships, email marketing, a media kit, invoices and tools for brand deals. Its free plan takes a smaller cut than Linktree's (9% vs 12%), and fees drop to 0% on Creator Plus. A custom domain is available from the $10 Creator plan, so your page can live at your own address. Every plan also includes AI tools with a daily credit allowance.
All those features come at a cost in clarity. The editor is busier, and if you only want links, most of it is noise. Removing Beacons branding takes Creator Plus at $30 a month, twice what Linktree Pro costs. Some tools are capped on the lower plans, too. Free gets 50 email sends a month, and both Free and Creator are limited to one course without video hosting.
Where SocProfile fits
Our service is the lightweight one here: a free link in bio page with unlimited links, headings, embedded videos and backgrounds. We built it for creators who promote Telegram channels, Instagram, TikTok and subscription platforms. It isn't a store or an email platform, and we don't pretend otherwise. If you want to sell courses from your bio, Beacons or Linktree will serve you better.
What you get instead is a page that costs nothing to keep. Paid extras are optional, and there's no ladder of monthly plans to climb.
| Option | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Pro | No ads, no sign-up menu for visitors, premium themes, daily views and clicks for every link. Paid with Telegram Stars or crypto, no auto-renewal, plus a lifetime option ($79). |
| One-time purchases in the shop | 8 premium themes with 12 backgrounds ($5), a verified badge, short 3–4 character usernames |
| Public catalog | People can discover your page or Telegram channel |

Which one to pick
- Just need your links in one place (socials, Telegram, website)? Start on any free plan. Our page and Linktree Free are the simplest, and with us there are no plan tiers to move up through.
- Selling digital products, but under a few hundred dollars a month? Beacons Free, since 9% is less than Linktree's 12%.
- Selling seriously? Compare Beacons Creator Plus ($30) with Linktree Premium ($35). Beacons adds email, memberships and a media kit, while Linktree adds lifetime analytics and social scheduling.
- Running ads and campaigns? Linktree Pro, for the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics integration and a year of traffic data.
- Working with brands? Beacons, for the auto-updating media kit and deal tools.
Whichever you choose, the link ends up in the same spot. We explain how to set it up in link in bio on Instagram and how to add a link to your TikTok bio.
Our take: don't pay for anything until you know what you'll use. Start on a free plan, and only move up once fees or missing features cost you more than the subscription would. For a creator who sells, that usually means Beacons. For someone who lives in analytics, it means Linktree Pro. And if you just need links, a free page is plenty.
Frequently asked questions
So is Beacons better than Linktree?
For selling and brand deals, usually yes. It bundles a store, email and a media kit, and its free plan charges lower fees. Linktree is simpler, and its paid plans have stronger analytics and marketing integrations.
Can I use Beacons for free?
Yes. The free-forever plan includes a customizable link in bio, a media kit, a store with a 9% seller fee and 50 email sends a month. Paid plans start at $10 a month.
Which one costs less?
Linktree's entry plan is cheaper, $8 vs $10 a month. If you sell, though, Beacons gets you to 0% seller fees at $30 a month, and Linktree needs Premium at $35.
Can I get rid of the branding without paying?
Not on either one. Linktree requires Pro or Premium, and Beacons requires Creator Plus or Creator Max.
What if I don't want to pay for either?
Both free plans work for a basic page. SocProfile is also free with unlimited links, and its paid Pro removes ads and adds click stats, while premium themes are a one-time purchase.
